In San Diego Kerry Steigerwalt's Pacific Law Center, bankruptcy doesn't have to ruin your life. An attorney can help to provide you with a fresh start. To make this an easy process, we can begin preparing your Chapter 7 bankruptcy case with little or no money down* and set up an affordable payment plan. We want to help and we will do whatever is needed to make our services affordable.

To file a San Diego bankruptcy case, there are basically two costs:

  1. A filing fee paid to the United States Bankruptcy Court
  2. Legal fees to your bankruptcy attorney

At Kerry Steigerwalt's Pacific Law Center we have flat fees that will cover the work on your entire case. We can then break our fee down into small monthly installments San Diego residents can afford. Bankruptcy attorney fees are based on a number of factors and all cases are different. We want to base your fees only on the work we will have to perform on your case.

To determine an appropriate bankruptcy attorney fee we ask that you complete a questionnaire, so that we can better understand your financial situation. The less complicated your bankruptcy case is, the lower your attorney fees will be. And, after your fees are determined in advance, you will know for sure the total cost of our services before we file your case.

San Diego residents may qualify to have a bankruptcy attorney begin preparation of Chapter 7 cases for little or no money down. Courts require that legal and filing fees be paid before your Chapter 7 case is filed in court. This way you truly get a fresh start.

You cannot pay for your bankruptcy case with your own credit card. However, we do accept credit card payment from other people at our office in San Diego, if they are willing to pay your bankruptcy attorney fees. Friends and family members sometimes can help, but they must give you the money for the fees - not simply loan you the money.

Most people pay their own legal fees in affordable monthly or weekly installments. We will work with you to set up payments you can afford so you can truly get a fresh start. Contact our practice in San Diego to arrange a bankruptcy attorney consultation.
